Landscape

The main habitat of the Toro-Semliki is the Savannah.

The protected forest here is the only lowland rainforest in Uganda. There are about 300 tree species, many of which are found only in this area. A visit to the hot springs at Sempaya is also interesting. At Lake Albert, the landscape is dominated by swamps. There are also isolated palm groves and riparian forests along the watercourses. Several rivers flow through the area, flanked by riverine forest, and Borassus palms are everywhere.
