The Namib-Naukluft is a National Park in Namibia in the provinces of Erongo Region, Khomas Region, Hardap Region, ǁKaras Region. The park was established on 01.01.1979 and covers an area of 49.768 km². The Namib-Naukluft offers the possibility of self-drive safaris.
The Namib-Naukluft is one of the largest parks in Africa and has been part of the Namib-Skeleton Coast National Park since 2010, which is the largest protected area in Namibia. It is home to the Sossusvlei area, a sea of giant red dunes and one of Namibia's main tourist attractions. Along Namibia's 1,570 km coastline, the national park stretches from the Orange River in the south to the Kunene River in the north. To the north, the park borders the Angolan Iona National Park, to the south the Richtersveld National Park in South Africa.
