Landscape

The main habitat of the Murchison Falls is the Grassland savannah.

Open grasslands, dense prairie, hilly landscapes and swamps dominate the whole park. The Victoria Nile divides Murchison Falls into two parts. North of the river is a savannah habitat dominated by grasslands with Borassus palms. South of the river, the habitat changes to a woodland with patches of forest. In the south, where there are fewer animals, there is humid tropical Rabongo forest with many iron trees.
