Landscape

The main habitat of the Mokala is the Woodland savannah.

The name of the park means camel thorn tree. These trees characterise a large part of its landscape. In the south, the dolerite hills, typical of the Karoo, dominate and between them there are vast savannahs and scrubland. In the north, on the other hand, the Kalahari dominates.
