About Khutse

The Khutse is a Private Game Reserve in Botswana in the provinces of Kweneng District. The park was established on 01.01.1971 and covers an area of 2.5 km². The Khutse offers the possibility of self-drive safaris.

The reserve borders the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. There are no fences between the two reserves, but the wildlife density is lower in Khutse. This is less about intensive game viewing and more about escaping the city for a few days.

The main habitat of the Khutse is the Grassy plains .

The park includes rolling grasslands, pans, dry riverbeds and fossil dunes. The barren landscape is particularly attractive at the end of the day, when the sun is low in the sky and the shadows are long.
