The Gishwati-Mukura is a National Park in Rwanda in the provinces of West. The park was established on 01.01.2015 and covers an area of 0.036 km². The Gishwati-Mukura offers the possibility of self-drive safaris.
Gishwati-Mukura is located in the Albertine Rift Valley in the western part of Rwanda and is the youngest national park in Rwanda. It consists of the Gishwati and Mukura forests, which are about 25 km apart. Until the end of 2018, there were no accommodation or other tourism developments in the park, but it is likely that a new luxury/upper class lodge will soon be built on the edge of the Gishwati sector of the park.
