Landscape

The main habitat of the Chobe is the Savannah.

The vegetation of the park consists mainly of tree and bush savannahs, with typical riparian vegetation extending along the Chobe River. Not only lush gallery forest and grass savannah, but also dry mopane forest and flat Kalahari sandveld (dry, sandy soil) stretches through the park. Another Chobe landmark is the Savuti Swamp. Mostly dry, the vegetation is comparable to the Serengeti plains.
