The Camdeboo is a National Park in South Africa in the provinces of Eastern Cape. The park was established on 30.10.2005 and covers an area of 0.194 km². The Camdeboo offers the possibility of self-drive safaris.
The park is located near the South African town of Graaff-Reinet and consists of a western and eastern part. The Nqweba Dam, adjacent to the town area, is another component of its territory. The Camdeboo is not primarily a safari destination. Its main attraction is the semi-arid Karoo environment and scenic highlights such as the spectacular Valley of Desolation, where erosion has left dolerite columns more than 100 m high. In a separate part of the park there is a very small wildlife viewing circuit where some herbivores have been kept. Of the Big 5, only the buffalo is present.
