The Bwindi Impenetrable is a National Park in Uganda in the provinces of Western Region. The park was established on 01.01.1991 and covers an area of 0.321 km². The Bwindi Impenetrable offers the possibility of self-drive safaris.
The park is located in south-western Uganda and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. It is the best place in Uganda to observe mountain gorillas. The park protects about 40% of the world's mountain gorilla population and has several habituated groups. The forest is also a birdwatcher's paradise with 350 recorded species.
