Wellington Guesthouse

Mara and her team were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and we were wrapped in comfort and peace. Our room had the most beautiful comfortable bed and we woke up refreshed. The bathroom is big and spotlessly clean. Mara has added so many details and thoughtful touches, rusks to have with your morning coffee and even a sewing kit if needed. The views from the deck of the mountain and vineyard were amazing. Definitely a 5 star home from home. Thank you so much Mara , we appreciate your kind hospitality.

On arrival we were greeted by an extremely friendly Mara. Her home is cosy, warm & comfortable. The fireplace was lit & to top it all we got into a warm bed in the evening as the electric blanket had already been switched on. Her Zimbabwean chef, Tadfadzwa was very polite & each meal was beautifully presented. Thanks Mara, Tadfadzwa & Bovril for a memorable stay!

Our hostess was amazing. The place borders a Vinyard with great views. The breakfast was really good and served outside our room on the deck. There was amazing attention to detail and we lacked for nothing. Attending a wedding in Wellington, it was the perfect place to stay.

Lovely place to visit and the hospitality is top-notch. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely go back.

Cannot recommend this place enough! The service was outstanding. The views were amazing. The hot tub was such a treat. Mara was such an attentive and accommodating host! On top of that, the breakfast was extremely tasty and well-presented. Top quality people and guesthouse. They definitely know how to provide a great experience for guests.

I went on a quick weekend getaway with my boyfriend. The host, Mara, was so accommodating and friendly, she went above and beyond to make out stay amazing. The staff Marisha and Tafadzo were brilliant and made delicious breakfasts for us. Would give 6 stars if I could!! Brilliant time away. I feel so relaxed, calm and ready for the ‘real world’ again. Incredible place to stay in Wellington, not only because the place is clean, comfortable and plenty of details… but also for Mara and the staff…always with a big smile!!! Feeling like at home!!!! Don’t miss Mara’s breakfast!!! 200% recomendable!!! ????

This is a lovely guesthouse, with magnificent views over the vineyards and mountains. But we didn't get the privacy we expect in a venue of this nature. Our 'suite' was not a suite at all: it's two bedrooms next to each other, with a passage running directly past the rooms that the staff kept using to service the other room. So basically you're lying on your bed with the door open, and people are walking past. Not ideal. Check me in and then leave me alone until I ask for something. It's also not the venue's fault that the swimming pool pump had broken while we were there. But having people loudly debating the niceties of a pool pump right outside our room makes it hard to work or relax. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. Could have been 5 stars. Wasn't.
