Amazing!! Wonderful sunset boat ride. Elephants came to visit us in the middle of night!! I should mention each and every staff who made our stay so wonderful!! They even arranged a very affordable taxi from Lusaka. Much affordable than any other option. Great people- special thanks to Patrick who did an amazing job with preparing food. Overall an amazing experience.

Wake up in the midst of nature. With the mighty Zambezi river literally in front of you, all forms of life gather here to replenishment their energy from the river of life itself. Wonderful place to get your soul in touch with mother Earth.

Very special and beautiful place along the Zambezi river. The tented chalets are equipped with one of the best beds we have slept in during our 3 week tour in Zambia. And the deck has a wonderful view. It is a self catering camp, so do all your groceries in Chirundu. Beers you can obtain from a village bar nearby. Patrick makes shure that you will lack nothing, and achieved a level of service which we have never before experienced. If I could give 6 stars for service I would. Unfortunatly the other cook was very ill during our stay, and even then Patrick took care of everything. I hope the cook is doing well by the way. All my talk about Patrick tends to sell the owners and guide a bit short. But that is not the case. Everybody at village fig is truly wonderfull and made our stay fantastic. The sunset boat tour we did with Moses was something special, and I would recommend it to anybody visiting. Thank you very much and we hope to meet you guys again.

Village Fig River Camp is a beautiful camp with excellent service. The staff was very helpfull and Stephan helped us with everything we wanted. He organised a very luxurous diner for us on an island downstream. Unforgettable. And the wildlife experience is great, in the luxurous tents just at the waterfront.

This place is a 10 if I have ever seen one, Magical scenery right next to the mighty zambezi river not to far from the beautiful village of Chiawa. An endless amount of encounters with wildlife. If your not brave don't go because the elephants and hippos are plentiful on the property late at night. The crew was very responsible and especially helpfull with everything. Best stay in zambia by far and the glamping experience is something to remember. It's affordable and highly recommended. I will be coming back. Nothing bad to say❤️

This is a really special place…beautiful, serene and some of the best hospitality we have experienced! It is self-catered which we did not realise until the morning we were leaving, but you only need to bring basic ingredients as they have oil, salt, chilli sauces etc. The chefs Philemon and Patrick prepare everything so you do not have to cook. They are fantastic and cook very tasty food. Everything is very clean and the service is exceptional. Great selection of activities available, including a wide selection of wildlife right on your doorstep. I would wholeheartedly recommend.
