About Tshima Bush Camp

Situated on 30 hectares of natural bush with direct access to the Nhabe River, Tshima Bush Camp is a small, intimate camp close to the world-famous Okavango Delta and to Maun, the iconic safari town of Botswana.

The Kalahari-sand-coloured, Meru-style tents are luxurious and furnished with comfortable beds and sleeper couches. Each of the tents has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in hot-water shower and a toilet. The tents are situated in the middle of the bush amidst the original, un-landscaped vegetation for lots of privacy and has a private area around each tent allows you to enjoy and relax in nature. The dawn chorus of francolins and guinea fowl will be your natural wake-up call.

A delicious, picnic-style breakfast is included and will be served in the privacy of your own tent. Every night, a 3-course dinner will be served in the garden under the stars, after a drink at the fireplace. Bush babies jump around and are frequently seen during dinner.

Walking trails invite guests to explore the area and you may find duiker, aardvark and a huge variety of birds. From time to time, elephants pass by and hippos inhabit the river.

From Maun International Airport: 1. Head southeast on Airport Rd towards Sir Seretse Khama Rd, covering 280 meters. 2. Take a right onto Sir Seretse Khama Rd, traveling a further 950 meters. 3. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Tsheke Tsheko Rd/Tsheko Tsheko Rd/A3, continuing on the A3 route. 4. After approximately 30 km, you will reach Tshima Bush Camp, on the left side. 5. Tshima Bush Camp is located 1 km before the village of Komana. 6. Guests do not need a 4x4 to reach Tshima Bush Camp and airport transfers can be arranged.

We were two nights at the Tshima Bush Camp and it felt like home. The kids could play around, the pets were great, especially the dogs. The tents were clean and the beds comfortable. They put a lot of effort in making and presenting the food. Russel is a real fun one. And they both were very helpful.

We had a wonderful night in the Tshima Bush Camp. The tents were very clean and fully equipped. After 20 days of Camping it was just awesome to have a real bed. The dinner Verena and Russel made for us was perfect. Just cooking with love and fresh ingredients. With their friendly attitude we wished we could have stayed longer. I hope we are able to come again

Russell and Verena was welcoming. Everything you need was there. Everything was so tranquil. I loved the tents it was clean and tidy. The food was wonderful . I loved the animals especially Bella and Rufus the two dogs.

Verena and Russel was the most wonderful hosts at Tshima bush camp. Since our arrival till we left , it was like a big family. The food was exellent and well prepared. Bella and Rufus the two beautifull dogs go on walks with you and they gaurd over you. My next trip I will stay for longer. They are special people!

Thank you so much both Russell and Verena for all the care and love shown and displayed towards both my mom and I during our visit at Tshisma Bush Camp its the most beautiful unforgettable Bush Camp experience ever. With its Spectacular views and pleasant climate it's the best place to go to unwind and relax! Loved it and I highly recommend it as well!
