The View of Zanzibar

I don’t use to write reviews, i didn’t even try the rooms, just the bar and pool and I must confess I was amazed. The staff were so kind,the prices in such location are pretty normal and they let us try the pool and take a swim, it’s was amazing. Thanks you for the hospitality!! I wish you a lot of success.

The hotel is located right on the beach, with the Rock restaurant situated directly across from it (though the names are similar, they are unrelated). The hotel features a lovely pool that overlooks the ocean and the Rock. However, when we visited in late December, the beach had very low tide. The service we received was somewhat inconsistent. Upon our arrival, it was unclear where to park because part of the hotel grounds was under renovation. The staff appeared confused about where to check us in and how to handle out request for a breakfast to go bag since we had an early flight. Things improved when the owner’s sister-in-law stepped in. After that, we were taken to a charming hut. I say “charming” because it was probably the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in, and I have visited over 90 countries, including Japan. While the room was cozy, there wasn’t enough space to place our luggage. The biggest letdown, however, was the absence of air conditioning. This caught us by surprise since air conditioning was listed as an amenity on Agoda. Additionally, we experienced a lack of plumbing in the morning—imagine not being able to flush the toilet or brush your teeth! Thankfully, we had showered the night before. So, why am I giving this a 5-star review? Well, we were there on Christmas Eve and witnessed the owners giving out presents and organizing a food drive for the children in the village. Regardless of the reasons behind this generous act, we felt compelled to support a business that genuinely cares for the community. If you are okay without air conditioning, I recommend staying in the hut. Otherwise, consider paying for an upgrade to enjoy one of the nicer rooms with a view of the ocean!

If you come to « the rock » you should definitely e eat and have a good time in « the view of Zanzibar » Great drinks - great music - great food and amazing owner and team THE place to be !

Might be a little hard to find from road but once you find it, you are in paradise. Beautiful ocean view and literally right in front of the rock restaurant. Spacious clean rooms and a restaurant on the outside patio. Delicious Nigerian cuisine and other options. The breakfast included was also filling and good! The young ladies are so sweet and attentive. So glad we found this place at the end of our vacation in Zanzibar . Can’t wait to see its expansion in the near future. Thanks again Yoop

Want to enjoy yourself with family or friends, this is really recommended peaceful place. No stress, No hurry time to relax! Price & quality more than expected! Thank you

Dinner was delicious and staff was very attendant and friendly. The tuna steak was amazing along with the pumpkin soup Freshest mango juice I have ever had! Yum

We had dinner this evening. I ate nigerian speciality. Really excellent food, My wife was positively surprised as well. You immediately notice that ingrédients are fresh. Service very friendly. Prices less than the half compared to The Rock, for at least the same satisfaction. The owner himself came to our table asking for our feedback. I highly recommend this restaurant
