The Hanover Luxury Hotel

Look past the dusty abandoned little town, this hotel is perfectly fit for purpose as a half way stop on a drive between Jhb and Cpt. Beds were super comfortable and provides the rest and comfort needed after a long day on the road. The garden overlooking a little pool is peaceful and in stark contrast to the town. The hotel overall has a unique decor and simple layout. The staff were really amazing. Jacques Hotel Manager goes out of his way with a smile for each guest, Rochelle the waitress was so friendly and professional and ran the dining room diner service with ease.

While it's always hard to compare remote small-town luxury to opulent big-city luxury, it is certainly the most luxurious halfway stop on a cape to Joburg drive that we've encountered so far. Some small attention-to-detail issues that would go along way to cementing the 'luxury' adjective, and the limited parking and lack of out-of-hours service don't do them any favours. But the food was wonderful, it's a very calm and opulent oasis and we would most certainly return. Warning: if you are departing early, be very sure that they know this and agree to accommodate it, as they seem to lock up the parking and leave overnight until the morning shift arrives

An absolute gem, a little oasis on the road between Johannesburg and Cape Town. The pool was a welcome treat after the many hours in the car, the comfortable rooms ensured a good rest, the staff are so incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic (I recommend the crispy pork belly). Don't let the surrounds fool you, Hanover in general is a very friendly place and the hotel itself is fantastic.

I remember when I was just outside feeling uneasy about our surroundings. The security came to escort us from the car to check in. I was gobsmacked when I got inside the place. What a beautiful hotel. The service was amazing, the most fascinating part was the rooms. I absolutely loved it here. The food was amazing too with a beautiful atmosphere and scenery. A definite recommendation 🔥

I looooooove this hidden gem! The perfect half-way stop between Johannesburg and the Cape. Great chef, warm friendly service. Stunningly designed rooms (each with unique deco). NB Tip: In Winter, take a shower in the evening before the water pipes freeze.

An outstanding South African gem. Beautiful big rooms, incredible food. Jacques welcomed us warmly and had even put our electric blankets on.

Stayed over for one night on a cold August night after a short trip from the Cape. A unique sophisticated hotel in a little dorpie. The room was very comfortable with an electric blanket to keep warm at -2 degrees. The decor is amazing. Safe secure parking inside the premises a bonus. Supper was lovely. Highly recommend for an overnight stay. You will definitely remember the people and place. Thank you Hanover Luxury Hotel
