The place was nice and clean, but struggling to get the room doors open. TV wire made a short, and did not get fixed. We stayed 2 nights to give us time to see all we wanted. Unfortunately when we came back some of the staff scratch in my bags. Nothing was missing, since I don't leave valuable stuff anywhere. There were some food that was open, so after the episode, I went to the manager, whom where very helpful and replaced my stuff. You can see they are still busy upgrading.

Together with 7 other tourists I stayed at this hotel from 1 - 4 June. It was a very poor experience starting with no globes in bedroom reading lights, bathroom light n/working (I bought a globe), the room safe n/working, poor TV selection for such a hotel, poor dining room service (e.g. one teaspoon for whole dining room!), very expensive drinks/snacks, even the reception standard was poor. All round, we were most disappointed in that it wasn't a 'cheap' hotel.

If you are staying for one night it is fine.... But our experience of this hotel was not up to Protea Hotel name standards.... We booked a double room as we are on our honeymoon travelling through Namibia. Upon arrival we received a twin room with 2 single beds and we were notified that this could not be changed. The wifi was only available in the restaurant and lobby area... The restaurant was also not up to standards as I sent back my chicken cordon bleu twice as it was still raw, there was no Red Heart rum or Southern Comfort in the bar or any Coke... The second night I ordered bangers and mash with onion gravy as stated on the menu, but I didnt receive any gravy as the kitchen didnt have any onions.... My husband also found a hair in his breakfast! Our room was fine except for the single beds on our honeymoon and the bedside table that was broken out of the wall.... There is a safe in the rooms but ours was locked and the hotel staff was not able to open it. And there isnt any laundry bags or laundry tickets in the wardrobe as stated in the brochures.... We didnt have the stay we anticipated or expected from a Protea hotel group.... I wont be recommending this hotel to any one soon. Next time I visit Luderitz I would rather sleep over in a guest house or camp at shark bay....

Busy with renevations so everything sucked. From food, drinks to service. And they said nothing when booking was done. It has a lot of potential with excellent views, an indoor pool, a bar and reading loungey area... but my visit was very disappointing.
