Otium Oasis Glamping & Camping

Beautiful place, just the gravel road is very damaging to cars. The initial experience with the host was pleasant however it turned sour once we were told we were loud on our first night. We were given 3 hours to vacate the premises the next day by the host, who knew that our drivers were drinking and were in no shape or form to drive to Cape Town. When apologising for our actions and trying to find a solution to the problem we were met with aggressive racial remarks and threats that if we do not leave the police would be called. We refused and police came to mediate the situation. After discussions we were allowed to stay the duration of our vacation however this ruined our entire vacation. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a calming place to unwind and enjoy your friends. The host and her husband have been nothing but disrespectful to us.

My first “Glamping” was in April 2024 with a friend and we couldn't have done better than choosing Otium Oasis. Our luxury tent was spacious and well equipped, and the balcony overlooking the green forest and a nearby rushing river offered a great view of the sunset. Our accommodation had its own braai area and outdoor fire place but a personal highlight for me was our private hot tub, which you can rent for a small fee. But make sure you start the hot tub early enough, it can take hours to heat it up. I also particularly liked the shower, which is built into the stones and harmonises perfectly with the surroundings. And don’t miss out to say “hi” to the owners pets which are living next to you: the alpaca brothers and their best friend Zoey, the zebra. For me, it was a great first Glamping experience and an unforgettable weekend at Otium Oasis - I will definitely be back 🦓🦙🦙

Stunning glamping experience in pristine, silent nature. We were very comfortable and had the most wonderful time in the hot tub, in the tent, on the deck and in the braai area.

Fantastic camping get-away, almost untouched forest property creating a wonderful atmosphere to relax and recharge. Can highly recommend! Self-camping and safari tents in all sizes available.

Clean and well laid out facilities nestled in a serene location, with an attention to detail and comfort. The owners, Alet and her husband, were so accommodating and ensured a very enjoyable stay. The animals, forest environment and beautiful surrounds make this a great spot for a tranquil getaway!

We recently spent 3 nights here and we were blown away by the facilities, rooms and Friendly staff. It was so nice sitting on the deck with my cup of tea watching the resident springboks run around. The Zebra, Llama's, potbelly pig and other farm animals make the experience more unique. It has nice kid friendly play area as well. Will definitely be back again.

What an amazing weekend... Great size tents with all amenities, all appliances of good quality. The owners are friendly, kind, and welcoming. Each camo site is private with good spacing. Love the wild life on the camp site

We had a wonderful stay with our family, enjoyed the tipi and alpaca tent, especially the hot tub and braai area. Great place and friendly hosts, and fantastic facilties! Value for money, would recommend to anyone who enjoys nature, will be back.
