Excellent hotel, really nice staff. The only downside is location. The town is swakopmund is dodgy and not safe. That's not a reflection on the hotel though but i would not go again or recommend visit this town.

We went as a family; we had booked and paid for two rooms four months in advance, one for us and one for our children. When we arrived, we found out that the children had been placed in a room outside the building, which could only be accessed from the street and was completely separate from ours. Their room, which had no Wi-Fi, was extremely cold and unfit for habitation, as there was only one radiator for three rooms. After reporting the problem to the manager, he wanted to take our guide to that room. We were forced to get upset, and the issue was resolved the next day. Even so, the hotel staff left much to be desired in terms of friendliness and manners. We will not return.

Really nice, cosy guesthouse. The owner and the staff is really friendly and supportive. They helped a lot organizing day trips and restaurants. We highly appreciated that a table at the best restaurant in town was pre-booked and offered to us. The family room was spacy and clean. The breakfast was delicious and you can easily walk down-town. We can highly recommed to stay at this place.

I spent three nights at the Namib Guesthouse and I had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the location was great, and the breakfast was delicious, with a special mention for the muffins :). The rooms were also cute and comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend the Namib Guesthouse to anyone visiting Swakopmund.
