We stayed one night at the lodge and wish we had booked longer. It is a hidden gem. The place is beautiful, serene, modern and has an open architecture which is full of small elegant touches, but which also does justice to its impressive natural surroundings. Sunset at the lodge is a special time, seeing the animals congregate around twin waterholes on the veld. The chef produced consistently high quality dishes. Mutilifa as front of house takes great pride in ensuring we had everything we needed, as the friendly face behind the desk and bar. The drinks were cold, the showers were hot, the beds were soft, the view was breathtaking. Prices were very fair for the quality of service and location. We will be back!

Family built, owned and operated and they live onsite. Beautiful lodge, deluxe accommodations, unbelievable views and property, exceptional meals both dinner and breakfast. I had a delicious piece of Kudu for dinner! Rooms are in individual free standing buildings. Extremely clean and nice dining room, sitting area and balcony. Nicely decorated! Nothing but good things to say. I did an afternoon game drive which was a great way to see the property!

Definitely a hidden gem! Driving along the dirt road, opening gates gives the experience a little adventurous touch to at the end of the road arriving at a beautiful lodge sitting on the hill over looking the valley. A beautiful, peaceful lodge. The staff were professional and friendly. No wifi in the rooms which was nice as we had a view over a water hole. Me and my other half did a game drive and thoroughly enjoyed it. The dinner was delicious especially the wine soaked pear with vanilla ice cream. We only regretting having not stayed longer.

A special and very luxurious lodge. Small-scale with a great wide view. Management and staff are dedicated and the service is unprecedented. Nice game drive done. Special thanks to Chef Johannes and his cooks for the 3 course dinners. As if you are dining in a 3 star restaurant from the Michelin guide.

We had an awful stay at the lodge. We planned to stay 2 nights, we left after one night. The lodge is on a hill and we had to carry our own luggage up the hill. One of the 2 members of staff were there to welcome us. It felt weird, but after 6 hours of driving we were happy to just chill in our rooms and enjoy a relaxing time. The setting and the views are amazing. The rooms have no WiFi signal, only the reception area has WiFi. My wife had a disagreement with the owner about the wine. She apologised even though the owners tone was quite aggressive. The owner proceeded to tell me that I can’t tell him how to run his lodge that he has spent 20 million rand on. I was surprised that he spoke to guests this way- especially being in the hospitality industry. The owner continued to tell me that if we are unhappy we must write a review about the place and he will write a review saying we are bad guests. He told me to sleep on it. I went back to the table to have dinner while he stayed at the bar drinking. The food was really good and it made a bad evening so much better. In the morning we packed our bags and we left. It was a horrible experience and the owner doesn’t care about his guests at all. Upon further research after we left we found that the lodge is actually a hunting lodge and pictures of the owner are on several trophy hunting websites. This information is not on their website and had we known that in the beginning we wouldn’t have stayed there because we don’t support Game hunting.

Nice people, nice place. The only thing is that the google maps pin it’s not accurate. It takes about 15’ drive to get from the pin to the actual site. Only relevant if you are in a hurry though..

We had the most amazing stay at the lodge. During our holiday the greatness of hospitality remained without compare. Especially the food really left us stunned. The rooms were clean and cozy with an amazing view on the pond. Overall our stay really was extraordinary and we barely ever felt so welcomed and comfortable. We would recommend this place to everybody !! 10/10 experience
