A very nice lodge in a quiet part of Hermanus. The hosts and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a spacious room with a view of the Atlantic. Unfortunately we only spent one night here, but we can imagine coming back again.

Lovely 1 night stay early September. Large comfortable room with views of the sea from the balcony. Nice hot breakfast in the morning as well. 10 minute taxi to hermanus where all the restaurants are. The owners were both lovely. Would highly recommend for a short break. Very close to the beautiful coastal path as well.

We stayed around Christmas at Lavender Manor Guest Lodge. In my opinion it is a great place to spent some days watching marine live or hiking along the shore at Hermanus. Spacious and clean rooms, extremely nice hosts and service staff, great breakfast, not even 5 min walk to a fully equipped beach including showers etc. We would book again.

BEAUTIFUL & COZY BED AND BREAKFAST this BnB left us in awe. It was our first stop in South Africa and the best place to get some rest and start exploring SA. Located only 1,5 hours from capetown airport. We had the sea view room, which was absolutely stunning. It’s equipped with everything that you need, very tidy and stylish. But the best thing about it is that you can see whales directly from the room. Just about 100 meters from the house you can enter the cliff path trail or go to grotto beach. Breakfast is amazing and offers a great variety. Also the hosts are super friendly and helpful. Thank you for hosting us!

Was a poor experience. We had room 7. This is situated in a separate block at the back of the property. The room - has very old carpets that are very worn down - had very patchy Internet that calls kept cutting out - on arrival, there was no information on load shedding, which seemed to be a lot longer than in Cape Town, but it would have been nice to have been told - we had no air conditioning in our room though colleagues in the main block had. It does get hot, and we had a fan in the room that cut off when load shedding happened so it gets hot in the room - breaky starts late at 8.30 though they do have some things out from 8 that helps. We want to be out by 9am to get around so hard to do when we start breakfast at 8.30 Bath towels are not replaced. This is unusual for a hotel and there was no indication of this. We put towels in the bathtub to be replaced and these were put back on the rail to reuse. If this is the policy, at least tell us. - oh and the pretty loud generator is on the back end of the property and sleeping with open doors and windows, the noise is your alarm like it or not...

We had a great stay here. Except it was far too short! The room and bathroom were perfect. And watching leaping whales from the roof was a real bonus. The area felt quite safe after dark. Would love to return some day for holiday. Thanks.
