It’s a magical place, immersed in nature and silence. In the evening, it’s mostly illuminated by torches, and the rooms have both indoor and outdoor showers and bath tubs, which are also lit by torches at night. The staff is attentive to every small detail, kind, always smiling, and responsive to requests. We truly appreciated their strong focus on the environment: they don’t use plastic and minimize non-reusable items as much as possible. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing two days at Kozi Forest Lodge in June 2024. While the lodge's accommodation is well used, the magical forest, abundant bird life, delicious food and exceptional staff more than make up for it. The staff, led by Blessings, went out of their way to accommodate our group of 12 including children, sharing local stories about the area and the plants & animals and adding special touches like hot water bottles in our beds at night. One of the highlights of our stay was learning about the traditions of the Tonga people from George. The boat ride, where he explained the intricate fish traps, was fascinating. Kosi Forest Lodge is perfect for families seeking a unique, relaxing getaway in the heart of nature. Highly recommended!

Dad and his two boys came away for an adventurous holiday and loved every second! Wonderful scenery and landscape, animals, awesome accommodation, world class sunsets and great service. Would love to come back one day. Blake and Ethan

Great friendly staff who catered to our stay. From first meeting Thulani at reception , right until our departure, he was pleasant, friendly and a great source of information. He arranged our boat excursion on the lakes while keeping us updated on the weather conditions. He welcomed us to breakfast each morning making sure that we were always comfortable and ready to take on the day’s adventures. Lungile served our delicious meals. She was always courteous and happy. George took us on the boat trip onto the lakes . He is well versed in the history and heritage of the area. His keen eye spotted monitor lizards , identified various bird species and even flora in the lake system. We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the resort.

Staff exceptional. The downside, way over rated and over priced in relation to other similar lodges in the KZN area. Requires some thought to improve and increase guests. Entertainment, minimal and could also have some thought to improve and attract guests.

One of the best experiences we’ve had in our lives, but few can afford it and it was a huge once off treat. Worth every cent, we often refer back to being the most relaxed holiday we ever had.

We stayed for 3 night. We did the hike, the boat ride and the canoe trip. This place is magical. It is remote, but that adds to the experience. The food is great and the staff incredibly friendly. The rooms are very adventurous... but in a good way. You have to love the outdoors if you stay here. Highly recommended.
