About Koro River Camp & Koro Island Camp

Set on the banks of the most beautiful, undisturbed sections of the Limpopo River, en-suite boutique tents have been built giving spectacular views of the surrounding wildlife.

The boma is the main hub where you can spend your days watching wildlife pass and the river flow by, read and relax. At night we sit back and relax by the fire with a glass of wine, watching as the chef cooks in the open kitchen.

This was so good that it's not even explainable. The service was perfect, nothing I can say but perfect. The staff told you that you could see them as family, but that was true. They were so sweet. The room was so clean, and the people that work that will do everything that can just so they can help you. The location was so perfect, and your gide will do everything in his power to spot all the animals for you. This is the best place to be if you want to relax, eat good, want to see animals in afrika and feel very safe. They are really so great. Bless them😇🙌🙏

We have visited several countries in Africa and seen a lot, but found this a truly unique place. During our trip in South-Arica we passed the border to Botswana (very easy and swift process) for a few days at this wonderful lodge set in indescribably beautiful nature. We had the chance to stay in the family tent - consisting of a tent for the parents, a tent for our children (9 and 12 years old), a tent with bathroom and in addition an outdoor shower, with a pool and terrace overlooking the beautiful river. The interior of the tents was very tasteful. We intensely enjoyed the warmth of everyone working at the lodge, the personal attention, particularly to our children, the beautiful nature and the excellent food which we enjoyed overlooking the river. The guides Casablanca and Mandla took us through the area and showed us the most beautiful places. They were very sweet and caring and came up with fun activities that they did with the children in between game drives so that we could relax further. The children experienced their stay at this lodge as one of the highlights of the trip so far. After leaving, it was hard to get used to the lodge next on the itinerary. We would love to come back again and then plan the Koro River Lodge at the end of our trip to fully relax in this beautiful setting.

Koro River Camp This was our second visit to this lodge. So that should be a recommendation in itself. The food was good. The chef takes pride in his work. The staff are cheerful and welcoming. The tent like chalets are very spacious and comfortable. The river facing outdoor shower is fun to use.

Wilderness at it's best. 2 camps, 2 styles. Each with their own charm. Very remote Africa and good game viewing. A place to chill out and enjoy the peace of remote wilderness.
