Great place to stayover in Oudtshoorn wit good location. Perfect place to come and relacks. Great gardens an beautiful swimming pool. The rooms are real 5* and well equiped with good bed and hot blanket. Great reception with the staff that are very friendly. Great place with hot tubs and massage. Safe parking. Love the two tame springboks around in the garden on the grass. Real value for money. Highly recommend Koroo Retreat for stayover in Oudtshoorn.

The experience with Karoo-Retreat soured before it even started. My husband and I were looking for accommodations in the Oudtshoorn area. We looked at pricing on their website. On the website, it states room prices starting from R550, R650, and R750 per night for the respective rooms. When we called this morning they gave us completely other pricing however the lady then told my husband she would give us the accommodation at R750 per night which we agreed to because we understand it is within peak season. So we would've paid an extra R200 per night on the advertised price. My husband agreed. She calls him back and says that she won't give it at that price because we previously agreed to pay R900.00 per night. Which we never did. I've never experienced such disgusting service in my life before. Im extremely angry at the false pricing advertised on the website and false promises by the staff. DISGUSTING!

Lovely place with spacious rooms that feel like a small flatlet. Everything you need is included, like a fridge, small stove, microwave, and they also provide cutlery and everything else you might need. The bathroom has a bath and shower. Love the two Springboks walking around. However, we stayed in room 4, and the condenser unit for the neighboring room's air-conditioning was right above our roof. Unfortunately, they turned it on at 1am, and it sounded like a farm generator starting and stopping all night, keeping us awake until morning. Honestly, I don't even understand why they ran their air-conditioning with such pleasant weather!? I would still recommend this place, but they should consider relocating the condenser units to avoid disturbing guests.

Karoo Retreat has made its name over the years. It's also in a quiet suburb of town, a cul de sac so no traffic coming past. It's close to town and they make a small varieties of affordable breakfasts. Staff are friendly, sometimes have to pit up with self entitled rude clients, but keep their cool. Highly recommended and their coffee is great, they have the fancy machine and good beans. They also have an fridge with wine and beers which can save you from driving to town unnecessarily. Besides they have 2 springboks there!

Had a great stay. Was only for one night as i wasnpassing through butt the service was great and the rooms were perfect.

We had the best time! It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for a retreat. The premises is secured with gates and is very safe. They offer on premise parking as well. Everything was tidy from the rooms to the outside areas. Whatever you need is within 5 minutes by car. Can 100% recommend. Their breakfast is also a great add on :)

We found this to be a very good place. The manager was excellent and when she noticed we had not the room we wanted she upgraded us for a very decent price. Has a kitchen and a pool. One of our best stops in SA.
