About Kareekloof Game Farm

Kareekloof Game Farm is owned by Leon and Annalize. We bought the farm in 2001 as a raw piece of land and developed it. We are now 17 years in the hospitality industry and love to meet new people. We like to share our knowledge about the animals, trees and birds with our guests. We will do anything in our power to let our guests have an unforgettable good time at Kareekloof Game Farm (Our 9,4 rating can testify about that), Peace and tranquility is our motto. We are NOT a resort, and we are NOT a hotel. We are a farm stay destination. A real South African bushveld experience.

We are a countryside destination, where we offer the ideal breakaway from the stress and strain of city life.
We sell peace, quietness, and a bushveld experience.

Our accommodation is comfortable, clean and a place to relax in.

The location is stunning. However after one fantastic day and ignoring the dogs that remain glued to both your feet and unit, we had neighbours occupy spaces either side of us. Now the problem here is firstly, paper thin walls on the one side where you heard everything including the music with perfect clarity, and the other was a promise by the owners of peace and serenity. The second set of neighbours had three generations of what I can only presume is an extended family that thought our veranda were the Kyalami straights, all the while behaving so loudly from the very first moment they got there that we needed to polish off all of our 4 day supply of alcohol in order to get to sleep. (We left the following day) But the worst part of this whole experience was that after speaking to the owners previously to assist and then posting complaints, my wife was promptly told by them that the problem was with her.

Just what we needed, A weekend getaway with no technology and quality time with the family. The hosts were awesome, Leon even helped with my car battery that went flat overnight. Definitely coming back.

Our weekend getaway to Kareekloof game farm was an absolute thrill for our family and kids! The accomodation and facilities were great and exceeded our expectations. The 2-hour safari was an enchanting journey through the wild, treating us to captivating sights of Springbok, Blesbuck, Impala, Kudu and the rare golden variety of Wildebeests left us in awe. The warmth and hospitality of the hosts Leon and Annalize made us feel right at home in the heart of nature. An unforgettable experience that blended adventure, beauty, and genuine care. Can't wait to return!

Wonderful driving experience on rainy days!! 6.) The staff is so friendly. 7.) Well equipped kitchen. We were treated very well, and the staff is so lovely and friendly. The owners and staff are amazing. Note that phone reception is an issue. Going there and meeting the owners and staff was a blessing.

Such a lovely getaway. Headed out here in early December 2020 with my family and we had the time of our life. The place is nicely situated in dense bushes ensuring a very quiet and peaceful stay. The hospitality level is excellent although one needs to be cautious of the strict check-in time. At the time of my stay, the facility was rated 9.1 by Booking.com and I could not argue with this considering the type of service received. There are various rooms to book but from my observations, a consistent standard was maintained for all. The place is clean and tidy and they have a swimming pool to enjoy when desired. When booking, one must consider that the closest amenity (small town) is over 5 KM away, otherwise bring your own stuff for a convenient stay. There is a game farm drive if request and comes at a reasonable price but can be shared amongst a group.
