Hide Away Guest House

We can highly recommend staying with the Hide Away Guesthouse. The rooms are flawless, super clean and very well maintained. The place has been renovated just recently and everything is in perfect shape. Colleen and her husband Cecil are an absolute dream team and the best hosts. We were late and had to check in very late and both were very patient with us and made us feel at home all the the way. Both gave us excellent tips for the region. The breakfast is also very good.We would stay here again, for sure.

Unfortunately Hide-Away Guest House canceled our December booking very late (in November) due to the owner that needed to stay in the unit for the holidays. They referred us to another guest house. We were squeezed into a one bedroom non-self catering unit with our five month old baby. What an inconvenience! Luckily we could find other accommodation and only had to stay two nights. Truly unacceptable.

Beautiful guest house with the best guest hosts. Extremely friendly and sufficient service. We even received an upgrade as part of our honeymoon gift.

We were greeted by Colleen & Cyril - professional in their service and warm hospitality... very friendly hosts who have a wealth of knowledge to share, not only of Knysna , but also other parts of South Africa. They recommended close by eateries, local attractions & sights to enjoy on our drive towards Cape Town. The downtown and Waterfront area is within walking distance. Our upgraded room was clean comfortable (modern en suite bathroom), with a picturesque view overlooking the Lagoon. We have never used an in room mini bar, but HideAway Guest House’s was so reasonable we couldn’t resist. A very nice touch is that guests have the option of having their breakfast served on their veranda or in the dining room. Wifi connection was excellent, on site secure parking & the pool looked enticing. Hide Away as a whole is very spacious - with chance to relax on lounge chairs by the pool or on the upper level. This is an excellent location & accommodation especially if you are planning a longer visit. We stayed 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks Colleen & Cyril for your hospitality.

Colleen and Cecil were extremely warm and welcoming, especially when we had come at very late notice. Close to town, and with beautiful views of the lagoon. The rooms are lovely and clean, and th included breakfast is a bonus. Loved our time there, thank you. Loren
