This place is an absolute hidden gem, and perfect if one wants to unplug and reconnect. The lodge is pristine and very well maintained, and our room was beautiful and tastefully decorated. The staff are all very attentive. There is no cell reception or wifi, except at the owner's house, where there is a comfortable deck with a beautiful view if you need to check your messages. The rest of the time, you can enjoy the views, the forest, and the hike to the waterfall. In the evenings, you can have a glass of wine next to the fire. I loved that it was a relatively small lodge, with each room entirely separate from the others, so there aren't many people and there is lots of privacy. The perfect place for a quiet weekend away - we will return!

It's a big mission to get there with many gravel roads and a very slow rocky approach to the lodge. Don't expect a cellphone signal or even data when you get there but the beauty and the tranquility are exceptional. Bird life like you cannot believe and the gentle silence of being in nature.

If you want to get away with very little internet , and experience the most amazing nature views and atmosphere, this is 6 stars , getting back to nature , if you have a car no problem they fetch you and drop you off , staff was amazing, host was amazing, that real family feeling but with the most spectacular views , it was our first time but absolutely not the last , we loved every second of our stay . Thank you for the best 3 days ever

This was a much anticipated weekend getaway for us. We loved our room, we loved the views and the hiking. We had a lovely bush bath, and spent an evening watching the sunset from the star gazing platform. We enjoyed a romantic gazebo dinner- just the two of us and we were made to feel incredibly welcome and special by the stunning staff who were friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. I truly feel they gave their best. The raw truth- the pass to get to the lodge was a lot, not for the faint hearted at all. Seriously, if you do not have diff lock I would not recommend. The empty yoghurt tubs and egg shells along the path upon our arrival (that were still there when we left) was off-putting. The website prices for our beautiful dinner were incorrect, so that requires an update. We definitely bundu bashed our way through the hiking trails as we got lost or started in the wrong place or both- we enjoyed it none the less. Overall we enjoyed our stay, I would have definitely appreciated meeting Anita, as that is who I was in contact with and I think her presence would have corrected the rubbish that ‘welcomed’ us too.

Most amazing weekend at Forest Creek Lodge! Anita and Mush and staff are the most perfect hosts. Peace and tranquility in the mountains with a stunning walking trail next to the stream. Can't wait to go back!

It's a magical place built amongst ancient ruins with an awe-inspiring view of the mountain. Two lovely hiking trails takes you through a wondrous forest all the way up to the waterfall. Leave your cell phone at home - the reception is horrible anyway. Just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Forest creek is a sublime hideaway from the rigours of the world. The hosts and staff are friendly. The views are exquisite. Anita has spent years perfecting the details of each unit and the guest experience. Better for couples than families. Don't forget to book the outdoor bath. We will be going back there again and again. It is exquisite.

Such a beautiful and peaceful lodge. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to break away!! We loved the fact that we couldn’t receive signal apart from at the lodge itself. Awesome hike to the waterfall! The food was fantastic!! Well done to the chef’s! Thank you Anita!
