About Farmhouse Deli and Store cc

We were never satisfied to merely establish the usual roomed accommodation found throughout Namibia, and therefore created something very unique and rare. Rail travel in Namibia ceased to exist in the late 70's, and we therefor acquired two disused rail carriages, which we converted into 8 luxury double bed sleeping coaches. We are sure that if you listen hard enough, you may still hear the familiar rail sounds of a by-gone era.

An experience out of the ordinary. Talking of "looks can be deceiving" you will never believe the luxury and comfort from the looks. I was received and welcomed by the most friendly staff, had a very nice and large pizza for dinner, nice cuppacino and a good breakfast. Definitely a place to consider on your route to/from the North.

Room inside very clean and great, but wifi bad. The 2 wagons are located right behind the filling station and supermarket and nouse level irritating. Food absolutely poor and not realy friendly or helpful staff. If you want to experience the feel of sleeping in train coach, this is NOT it

We overnight in no 9 chalet once for $850 and thought that the carriages were there for decoration. We now stayed in no 4 (rail carriage) and it is something you cannot describe...good bed , super rustic interior...,A/C; zinc ceilings...army of mosquitoes , no amenities like soap , insect repellent, very nice smart tv and fridge.. toilet and shower in compartment.......4x2 m...$850 is too much. Nice vineyards and other trees.

Awesome surprize. Clean modern updated rooms and freindly helpful staff. Could'nt want for anything more. And the price, I would have expected to pay at least double the price. And gladly would have. Great value for your money.

We were very surprised, after a long day of driving to be offered their 4 sleeper suite, a brick buildings next to the train carriages we were planning to sleep in (which we booked). It really is a beautiful room. The garage nearby has a 24 hour service station if you need anything. Many would think the truck stop would be very noisy but it was not the case. Really had a good stay

Very unique, affordable accommodation. Old train coaches transformed into rooms. Free Wi-Fi with a fridge, TV and hot water in the rooms although the Wi-Fi was not working. Well located on your way to or from Etosha. Recommended.
