we had our graduation ceremony here and it is always such a beautiful place. the staff are friendly and accommodating. chef Vusi and his team are amazing the food was great.

This is my home away from home...that should say alot...love the staff, love the food and love the location.

This place really lives up to it's photos. It's beautiful and tranquil. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I’m so conflicted about this lodge but my honest review goes as follows: The events side of things was not great. They double booked us and gave us the side of the area that was really subpar. We paid the same money, if anything, we had more quests and made our reservation way in advance. So how did they decide who was more deserving and why didn’t they communicate that they were already booked for our dates if that was the case? Even though they tried to convince us otherwise, we got the short end of the stick. They were then so inflexible with moving us. We asked if we could use the restaurant area and were told it was reserved for hotel guests. We counted only 2 of those guests the entire evening so they could have moved us to the main area but they simply did not want to. The chef (Brad) had a chip on his shoulder, absolutely refused to see us despite more than 5 attempts. Too busy for the people bringing you 50/60 guests? We wanted to discuss the numbers and charter a way forward. I found his responses (or lack thereof) quite surprising. So if you want to have an event there, make sure you’re not double-booked and shoved to some random corner. Also the kitchen is small so the food took forever and some of our guests ended up leaving after having their starters. I really wish the event side of things lived up to the hype. Otherwise this lodge is very beautiful with an astonishing ambience. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
