Chisomo Safari Lodge

An unforgettable experience. The chefs were top-notch, the staff was incredibly courteous, and there is nothing like stepping out of your living quarters directly into the wild. I can think of nothing extra this group could have done to make it a better experience at the camp. We were extra fortunate that our Safari team managed to get us up close and personal with each of the Big 5 within 36 hours of arrival. Conrad runs an amazing operation here.

Brilliant stay, felt very in the wild in a positive way for a safari reserve. Food and service was great. And the facilities are very good.

We drove up in our rental to the camp and IMMEDIATELY were surrounded by animals just lounging and eating, minding their own business. It was amazing. Minus the scheduled load shedding everything went as planned. Our WIFI was great, the rooms were cozy and the staff did everything to make your stay amazing. Now let’s talk about the trackers and rangers…. Polly and Eddie were top notch! Highly knowledgeable in tracking animals and explaining a lot about them. My tour found the big 5 in 2 days because of their tracking ability. I have nothing but great things to say about this place!

This Lodge is about as run down as the management. Although it's a tented Lodge, the canvas in front of the windows no longer close. We reported it to management as was informed that they merely stapled all of it closed for us. That meant our room was dark for the remainder of the visit and not to repeat it to the foreigners visiting as they would have to staple everyone's closed. We had no hot water for showers, geyser was only fixed a day later. There was no soap available to wash your hands. Shower dirty and dilapidated. Management disappears every night while a full Lodge is having dinner. The overall feel one gets is that it's dirty, and I could see that while the staff was cleaning. Btw, that gets done while you as visitors make use of the facilities. Obviously, the staff is following managements example. Our last night we were asked to hurry up having our dinner around 20:30 as the staff still had to clean up after us. That being said, no reply will rectify as money was already wasted. I will not recommend this Lodge to anyone, especially to Foreigners visiting our country. That's just sad, cause our country is beautiful and there is much better Lodges out there!!!

Chisomo is amazing!!! My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and were both blown away. We had the best guide (Cameron) and tracker (Solomon) on the planet. We feel as if they’re family now. They’re incredibly passionate and wise about ALL things in the bush. We saw the big 5 within the first couple of days! The rooms were beautiful, food was incredible, service was five stars, and price was 6! ? (The spa they have is also amazing). You must go experience this if you’re looking for a grade A safari. I can’t say enough great things about this. God bless you all!

We stayed at Chisomo just before Christmas and WOW what an experience. We saw all the big 5 with a jaw dropping experience with a Rhino. The camp itself was first class. Very clean and excellent food and comfortable accommodation. Our guide Jack was a real character and very knowledgeable. Overall a brilliant experience and one we hope to repeat.

So worth the money oh my god. Safaris were life changing, walked with cheetahs, got 5 feet from a lion and on and on. The staff from the cleaning staff to the cooks to our guide and trackers Mandla and Thomas were so welcoming and knowledgeable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
