DIRECTIONS TO CHARTWELL GUEST HOUSE From King Shaka International Airport, take the N2 South bound towards Umhlanga/Durban. From Johannesburg, take the N2 North bound towards Stanger/Umhlanga at the multi-level interchange before reaching Durban. From the N2 take Exit 182, which is the M41 to Umhlanga and Mount Edgecombe. At the traffic lights at the end of the off-ramp, turn right if you are coming from the direction of Johannesburg OR turn left if you are coming from the direction of the Airport, onto the M41 to Umhlanga, over the bridge, you will pass Gateway on your left. Take the off-ramp for M12 to Umhlanga Rocks Drive and Umhlanga Ridge. At the traffic lights at the end of the off-ramp turn left into Umhlanga Rocks Drive. You will pass McDonalds and Umhlanga Hospital on your left. At the second traffic circle take the 3rd exit and go down the hill towards the sea. (Do not take Herrwood Drive. We had a beautiful big room with a view of the pool and the sea in the distance. The staff were very helpful even after hours The breakfast was delicious 😋

My fourth time staying at Chartwell guest house and it is always such a pleasure. Great service, friendly staff, prime location and never have an issue with load shedding and water because the bnb is off the grid. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Durban for work or holiday. ?

Beautiful place?very clean, fresh linen, even impressed me with my OCD? Love the Deco and themes for the different rooms??Came for business but extended my stay by another day. Experienced different Rooms and loved them both.. Friendly staff, very helpful. Happy is amazing, very sweet?? I will definitely recommend it and next time am in Durban, I'll come stay here??

My husband and I have just spent 2 nights at Chartwell Guest House. We received a very warm welcome from Zama and Happy and shown where we could find everything. A water fountain to help ourselves to filtered water although other water, being borehole water, was safe for consumption. The facility offered all the necessary requirements and was most comfortable. Happy, Charity, and Zama, prepared an amazing breakfast for us. They are such an asset and take pride in their place of work. We could not fault Chartwell Guest House in any way and would be our place of choice in the future. Highly recommended. Had a wonderful stay at Chartwell Guest House, the rooms are clean and the view from the back is really nice. The breakfast was great, they have a nice spread to choose from. Please consider giving your guests complimentary water in their rooms.
