Exceeded all our expectations. Located on the lagoon, with access to kayaks and SUPs - beautiful views and very chilled vibe. The rooms are BIG and beautifully decorated.. iPhone fast charge stations a real touch. Sublime beds and lovely bathrooms. The Oyster Catcher Suite is a self catering apartment with incredible views. Great for families or for staying longer. The Loerie Suite is romantic and secluded - facing the garden. For 2 people, it is very spacious. Great wardrobe space and has everything you could want. We had both rooms for a family of 5 staying 8 nights.. cannot recommend this place enough. The best bit for last… the staff - incredible service, friendly, considerate, funny.. a real highlight. Promise and Fortune are outstanding. The hotel also has an exceptional shuttle / van.. and a new addition - a speed boat for hire. Looks like Amanzi keeps evolving with true attention to detail and customer service at heart. Would return in a heartbeat!

Beautiful place with stunning views and very professional and friendly staff. Ashley, Marrieta, Miriam, Fortune, and the rest of the team made us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious and the premises are very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast pack arranged for early checkout.

We stayed at the lodge for 3 nights and had an absolutely fantastic stay. From the first moment we arrived to the very last, the service we received from all staff was first class. They catered to your every need, including picking us up and dropping us off across Kynsna in the shuttle. The room was nice and comfortable - we were particularly lucky as we got an upgrade so we also had the benefit of our own rooftop outdoor terrace area which was great. The breakfast was tasty as it includes a cold buffet as well as a cooked option from a menu which was really fresh. The setting of the hotel is absolutely stunning looking out over the lagoon and we were lucky enough to have a terrace in our room to enjoy this to its fullest extent. We also hired kayaks and bicycles from the lodge which are both free as part of your accommodation.

Our stay at Amanzi Boutique Hotel over the weekend was nothing short of extraordinary. This waterfront hotel should be on everyone's list for a memorable stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff's warm and attentive service made us feel instantly at home. The rooms are impeccably designed, blending comfort with luxury, and the facilities are top-notch. We were particularly impressed with our large studio, which came with its own private infinity pool, offering breathtaking views of the Knysna Lagoon. If you want to experience an incredibly beautiful sky as the sun sets over the lagoon, then you’ve got to try a sundowner on the bar terrace. The hospitality was simply outstanding, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. Amanzi truly offers a perfect retreat, combining serene surroundings with exceptional service. We can't wait to return! Thank You Amanzi Team

We stayed here for 3 nights in July . Had three rooms / suites . As opposed to the reviews on Google and TripAdvisor we were highly disappointed..there was NO Hot water in one of the bathrooms for 3 days. Even After daily complaints there was no resolution to the hot water problem. On the final night they managed to fix the supply of hot water. Also the heating in the bathrooms does Not work . Rather it works selectively in some of the bathrooms. Winter in Knysna requires these basic facilities.

This Lodge is really incredible. The staff is very nice and so is the service. Beautiful rooms with lots of space and there are a lot of rooms to hang out and open door areas. Pools, bicycles, canoes. Breakfast is very food too. The isle is a very safe place to stay and walk around.

Very nice small hotel with super freindly staff. And super location. Sadly there is No water in the bathroom from aprox. 08in the morning to 21.00 at Night , and many drop outs of the electricity ( and thus also of wifi and TV) which g’ets more and more frustrating as the days Go by.

Another beautiful stay. Recent refurbishments have enhanced, especially the bi fold doors in the restaurant area. Lovely peaceful location looking across the lagoon to Knysna heads. Exceptional views from lounges and restaurant area. Good choice of breakfast and lunch time snacks and dinner available. Well equipped, comfortable rooms. Parking, pool, garden area. Bicycles and kayaks available. Mini bus service to take you into town for a small fee. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Thanks so much, hope to see you again next year!
