The Rebublic of South Africa is a 1220000 km² state at the southern tip of Africa and is also the most developed economy on the African continent. The seat of government is in Pretoria, the system of government is a unitary dominant-party parliamentary republic with an executive presidency. In South Africa live 59.3 people (as of 2020), most of whom belong to the ethnic group "Black African".
The official national currency is the "South African rand" (ZAR). The most commonly spoken languages (official languages) are English, isiZulu, isiXhosa and Afrikaans. The vast majority of the population professes Christianity.
South Africa is home to numerous world-renowned national parks, game reserves and nature reserves such as the Kruger, |Ai-|Ais Richtersveld Transfrontier or the Addo Elephant. South Africa has a rich diversity of species and is home to many large wild animals.
