The Rebublic of Kenya is a 582646 km² state in eastern Africa on the Indian Ocean and is characterised by its savannahs, lake areas and a mountainous highland. The seat of government is in Nairobi and the system of government is a unitary presidential constitutional republic. In Kenya live 53.8 people (as of 2020), most of whom belong to the ethnic group "Kikuyu".
The official national currency is the "Kenyan shilling" (KES). The two spoken languages (official languages) are English and Swahili. The vast majority of the population professes the Christianity.
Kenya is home to numerous well-known national parks, game reserves and nature reserves such as the Aberdare, Amboseli or the Arabuko Sokoke. Kenya is known worldwide for its high biodiversity and annual wildebeest migrations.
