The Rebublic of Botswana is a 581730 km² landlocked country in southern Africa and is characterised by its dry and briar savannahs. The seat of government is in Gaborone and the system of government is a unitary dominant-party parliamentary constitutional republic. In Botswana live 2.4 people (as of 2020), most of whom belong to the ethnic group "Tswana".
The official national currency is the "Botswana pula" (BWP). The two spoken languages (official languages) are Setswana and English. The vast majority of the population professes the Christianity.
Botswana is home to numerous world-renowned national parks, game reserves and nature reserves such as the Central Kalahari, Chobe or the Kgalagadi. Botswana is known for its high biodiversity and the world-famous Okavango Delta.
