The White House Lodge Victoria Falls

good location, but walking in the heat will be difficult. the staff is great, very welcoming and friendly. the rooms are huge and clean. the breakfast was big and filling, suitable for children too. everything was super, we really liked it here, I recommend

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe is setup solely to accommodate tourists coming to see the falls. As such, there is a wide range of options available in terms of quality and pricing. This inn is located about a half hour walk from the center of town. I did the walk twice, but mostly relied on taxis. The cost for a taxi into town is $5 USD. There is a bit of a scam in that if they drive you the very short distance to the falls themselves, the cost suddenly increases to $10 USD. I did not see where the taxi paid any extra in a fee to go this short distance. The inn itself has seen better days. It is clean, but there are opportunities to improve the maintenance. There is a/c that works reasonably, but keep in mind that power outages are not uncommon. We were there at the end of the hot season, which meant no mosquitos - they rely on netting, but would recommend some good repellent. Breakfast was fine - served out on the front porch. Decent variety of items including eggs to order. They do like to serve liver, which seems a bit strange, but maybe most tourists like to eat it. You have to get other meals in town. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall enjoyed the stay. More generically, keep in mind that VF Zimbabwe wants your $, so you will be called to by lots of people who want to help you out or sell you a trinket - for a small fee. Gets old fast, but understandable.

Absolutely friendly and very accommodating staff.

Our stay at Whitehouse Lodge was excellent. The rooms were wonderfully well tended to and Grace who was managing the reception area during our stay was simply wonderful, nothing we asked her for was a hassle and all the staff were simply lovely to deal with.

10/10 I really enjoyed everything.

Location is good, close to the city and the falls. Michelle and her staff were exceptionally attentive to anything we might need, in most cases anticipating them before needed. Helped line up all of our trave,l including a day trip to Botswana. The accommodations were incredibly clean and the breakfast that was served was lovely. Would highly recommend to anyone and I would certainly stay here again.

A beautiful bed and breakfast lodge with incredibly attentive and caring staff. Breakfast includes a selection of fruits, juices, and cooked to order hot breakfast. They have helped us arrange transportation to all points of interest and have taken care of all of our needs. The rooms and all guest areas are impeccably clean.

Nice place, quiet, spacious rooms, huge beds and bathrooms. We also got nice treatment and breakfast, served by a lady by the name of Michelle. Very nice and friendly lady. Thank you Michelle for making our stay beautiful
