umSisi House

Idylic country cottage in a bucolic setting. Abundant birdlife visible from the covered deck (lovely on a rainy day). The hosts (Paddy and Amanda) are proactive and friendly. The cottage is cleaned daily by Sunday and Ester who are an absolute pleasure. Very secure and close to Kruger Park's Numbi gate. We had the privilege of staying here for over 2 weeks and we loved it.

I stayed for one night at UmSisi House with my wife and another couple, and we were not only welcomed by Amanda and Paddy like old friends but also pampered in every way. When a Boxer dog came to greet me, my heart was won over by these hosts and their home. Paddy prepared a dinner for us that you couldn’t get better even in the finest restaurant. Breakfast left nothing to be desired either! The villa is set on a wonderful property, the view was impressive, and both the room and the entire house were furnished with great charm and attention to detail. Thank you, Paddy, for the tour of your solar field, which you kindly showed me. We can only highly recommend the complete package—no ifs or buts. PS: Paddy, Martina is still waiting for the pulled pork recipe from you. 😉

We had a fantastic stay at umSisi Cottage. The accommodation is excellent and comfortable (2 bedrooms, living room, dining table and kitchen) with all the amenities you need. The bathroom is large with a good shower. The hosts are welcoming and make you feel at home. The cottage has DSTV but who wants to do that when you can sit out on the deck on a perfect Lowveld evening with a glass of wine watching the vervet monkeys play on the garden.

umSisi house is an absolutely amazing place to go for your holidays, it's not only beautiful but has amazing food and amazing host. It was also for photogenic people like me. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone.

This place ia absolutely beautiful from the entrance to the room, everything is so neat and tidy, really enjoyed the stay at Umsisi, Service was impeccably good, staff was always there available when you need anything.

Totally amazing holiday at Umsisi House. Paddy and Amanda are the perfect hosts. The food is amazing, the lodge is stunning, they simply cannot do enough to make your holiday a lifetime of memories. I cannot recommend staying with them highly enough.

Umsisi House is a fabulous place to discover. The warm welcome from Amanda and Paddy when you arrive and during all your stay is just exceptional. With our kids and my wife , we have been impressed by the amazing garden so beautiful. Paddy is an excellent host and passed on his deep love of plants and nature. When you arrive you feel immediately at home. We had excellent exchanges with Amanda on many topics. It was our first time in South Africa and we have been amazed by the warm welcome of our hosts and the very professional staff. Very comfortable, very clean, amazing dinners and breakfasts prepared by our hosts. The place is ideally situated for travellers wishing to discover this beautiful part of South Africa close to Kruger National park.
