Top location, catering staff are lovely. Room and food are decent, don't expect anything special. 3 stars matches the price.

A laid back family friendly environment. If you want to visit the hame parks be informed it is 40 plus Ks away... Otherwise the Hoedspruit endangered species centre is a few Ks away...

Good value for money. The room was beautiful. Staff is very friendly. The game drives they organise take place in another reserve which is located 45 min drive from Thornhill. Would highly recommend the bush walk which is organised in the reserve of the lodge. The food was a bit disapointing.

Would recommend staying here to everyone! It was amazing, the food, the staff, the safaris, the other activities, the rooms. Everything just amazing!

Cozy place in the middle of a forest with giraffs, zebras, gnus , buffalos, leopards, monkeys and more. Very friendly staff with many available drinks and good cooking. Hostess was really nice too. Many activities available to be booked on site. We went on a bushwalk and game drive in a closeby big 5 park.

Loved every moment of our visit. Staff were really accommodating and will go the extra mile in every aspect. Would definitely recommend.

My partner and I booked a 4 days package at Thornhill through Detour Africa Tours with Jamie for our honeymoon, we absolutely loved! Jamie was very helpful and organised a nice room for us and a dinner. At the lodge Nicole was very nice to us and also helped us working out the best activities. The food was delicious and the chef was very friendly. The room had a bath, outdoor and indoor shower and it was very clean and spacious. We had meals and activities included for a great price. We will definitely come back.

From the moment I arrived, the driver picked me up with enthusiasm and welcome arms. Nicole (manager) was at the gate with a welcome drink and explained everything in detail about the lodge. She was super helpful throughout the stay as well, always making sure everything was on track and I was aware of the schedule! The food, staff and hospitality were AMAZING! I will highly recommend this place to others when considering a South African Safari!
