The Secret Garden Guesthouse

Cozy guesthouse with a beautiful garden. The woman who welcomed us at reception was so lovely, and went out of her way to help arrange a last minute Sandwich Harbor tour, even though it was already past the usual pickup time. The rooms are clean and spacious. Great location for exploring Swakopmund on foot - be sure to check out the cute deli with souvenirs just up the street!

The room is basic but it has everything needed. The garden in the middle of the rooms is cute. Location is convenient as it is close to the beach and to some of the most popular restaurants. I could not try the breakfast because I left too early. They packed it for me to go, but they packed only one instead of two.

Perhaps Swokopmunds best kept secret. Great location on a side street, owned and operated by a lovely family and staff. Beautifully maintained, safe, secure and extremely clean. Nicely decorated, spacious rooms. Within a block or two of central main street and easy to walk to restaurants both in town and overlooking the water! Breakfast included, nice sitting rooms and common spaces and garden area.

Very nice and cozy guesthouse in the city center of Swakopmund! The rooms are nice, large and clean and they all face a very pleasant internal garden - shared “living” room also available inside which was great as we visited in winter. The staff gave us several suggestions for restaurants and bars in town, and most of Swakopmund is reachable within walking distance (e.g., main road, jetty, lighthouse)

We liked our stay here very much, we felt a warmth and care from the staff that made us feel at home. The is a sensibility for the space, the service is excellent and the human treatment makes the stay very welcoming. We appreciate the design of the place, which has a homely atmosphere with its wood and rooms that preserve an old-fashioned design. The breakfast was with good quality products and with an elaborated and homemade preparation. And the proactivity and consideration of the staff to help us with our needs outside of the accommodation set it apart from other places.

Unfiendly people from German origin with a truly colonial attitude towards native black people. Breakfast was served for us in the former garage, an unpleasant and cold room. When we asked if we could have another table (we saw one free) the lady coldly answered “NO”. Don’t go there!
