Oyster Bay Lodge

My husband and I had the most AMAZING experience at Oyster Bay Lodge! Debbie was so welcoming and extremely helpful!! Leo was our guide for our horse ride, he was very kind and experienced. The horses were extremely well taken care of. I highly recommend this tranquil place! Can’t wait to come back!! Thank you Oyster Bay team for making our visit so special!

We stayed one night, with our 2 year old daughter. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and did everything to make us feel at home. The location is stunning and the hikes you can make around the beach our really great! As soon as we turned off the lights a bat came flying into our suite. All windows and doors were closed, so there must be a whole in the roof or something. As soon as we turned on the lights, the bat would go away. Since I am quite afraid of bats, we slept with the lights on, which of course isn’t ideal at all. Didn’t sleep well that night. The WiFi in the room doesn’t work too well, but also there’s no reception in the room, data roaming doesn’t work as well. The rooms are a little bit outdated to be honest. Be prepared for a 30+ minutes bumpy ride on a dirt road, it’s the only way to access this lodge. For me personally, it was not the best experience. But if you don’t care too much about bats, poor WiFi and the 30 minute unpaved road, it’s really okay! I can imagine you can have a great stay here if you have other preferences than us. The nature is truly stunning and the staff is super friendly and helpful, amazing people!

The slightly longer journey on rough roads is definitely worth it. Wonderful lodge, great rooms, lovely pool, beautiful location on a private beach, best food ever.

A wonderful rural place to unwind. And a range of activities like walking on seasand and dune and vynboslandscape. Various bikes, buggies and horse riding. And an excellent kitchen !!

This place has a beautiful ocean view, on the one side as well as lush green nature on the other. We stayed in the Suite accommodation, that gives you that extra peaceful privacy. The staff did a very good job on keeping the place as neat as a pin! The place offers many activities, such as horse riding, riding on the dunes or nature trails, as well as other activities externally such as the dairy farm tour. Our highlight here was the exquisite food, friendly conversations with the OBL team, and amazing scenery of their tame but free roaming horses! Keep up the good work! Excited to see you guys again😍

We only went for the horse riding which was brilliant, nice ride on the beach and then through the bush and up a hill with great views, all the staff was very friendly and the lodge and restaurant looks very nice as well

It was a great stay at oyster bay lodge. Great area, beautyfull landscape, lovely staff. We loved our room and we loved the food. Great breakfast and delicous diner. We'll be back. It's a very special place, really a hideaway.

A lovely little place off the main road. An absolutely beautiful stretch of beach, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. We went on the Dune Safari which was great fun and visited the nearby Dairy for an interesting tour.
