Kruger Cliffs Lodge

Excellent service, stunning views & great value for money. The service I received was exceptional, The rooms were 10/10. The hosts are very friendly and quite welcoming, they really make you feel at home. I was so impressed I extended my stay :) If peace, tranquility & the sounds of nature is what you're looking for I would highly recommend Kruger Cliffs!

For the price that you pay this isn't the best accommodation there is. The views are good but not great and the pictures are a bit deceiving. Unfortunately we had turbulent weather when we arrived, there is no proper paving and just sand and a few stones closer to the entrance of the room, we had to walk in mud and the car port just had wooden trellis on the top in which water can come in and makes it even worse in the rain! On the inside it looks very much like a cold Johannesburg CBD apartment with a lot of cheap cement finishes on the floors, walls and even the kitchen counters. There are not enough soft furnishings like maybe just a rug in the lounge to make it a little more comfortable especially because 95% is made of cement! The fridge was very poor and resulted in some of our food going off. The braai area is covered partially by trellis again with a canvas covering which has holes in so water just seeps in making it impossible to sit under or braai. The outside light by the braai area does not work at all so we had to use a led light. The pool is so small it is not much bigger than a bathtub. The place does not have any clear signs visible from the road and makes it difficult to see the turnoff. The most unbelievable on the day of our checkout was that we were 5 minutes over checkout time as the weather was impossible for us to pack our car because of the rain and with no cover at the carport and the muddy area outside. We received a message from the host saying that checkout time is at 10am. Given the weather conditions I think we were earlier than most people would have been, please be a bit mindful of other factors so that you have a grace of at least 15 minutes before you try and make your guests feel as if they owe you something. Overall not worth the money, these hosts carry on like they are doing you a favour.There are plenty of places that give you the proper kruger experience that you are looking for, don't settle for less! After the owner/manager or caretakers response: To the public out there as you can see by the response received there is no sense of accountability or negative criticism they can accept. All you have is them being defensive and really shallow. It is clear that my review sparked a lot of emotion and I wonder why? You know how people who tell lies have an answer for everything, here is your proof. Thank you for proving my point and showing the public how their experience may be should they have any suggestions or complaints. Nobody! Not even you Kruger Cliffs are perfect, the reality is that with challenges you are able to do better and grow but we can see you are too proud for that. Reviews are for warning people about experiences so they do not make the same mistake. Take it on the chin and stop with your denial, you are making this even more of a joke. So sorry to hear about your devastating realization of reality in this review.

Very warm welcome....friendly host had a good conversation....the place is simple yet modern with everything you need...no TV that's a plus...the view is awesome the pool on the deck is another bonus...Mira is most welcoming...catered for my needs and kept me updated before arriving.

The place is perfect for all types of get aways, is easily accessible. Each cottage has it own outside shower, pool and wonderful mountains view. The kitchen is well equipped from the dish washer to all form of cutlery you may think of. Bedding is hotel collection. Lastly the owners are welcoming and friendly, they answer all questions in details. I had best time of my life.

I can not put into words how refreshing, serene, beautiful & peaceful this place is, the warm welcome from the hosts Mira & Jochen. I was impressed she knew us by name, they are very discreet. This is a bargain & a half especially that each unit has so much privacy & ur own pool I think that is amazing. The place is easy to locate even if ur from a different province, Hoedspruit is not far off. As for the views and the lighting and access to the porch and pool is beautiful. The outside shower on a hot summers day is stunning. This has honestly been a beautiful experience. The information booklet guiding u on their personal experiences with local restaurants & activities was very helpful aswell. I can not fault this place at all, you get home all refreshed and ready to face the world. ❤️

Luxury and comfort in a magnificent bush setting. We were welcomed by Jochen and Mira, the owners of this little jewel in the bush. A quiet place but not isolated, Hoedspruit and Acornhoek are just a short drive, and in Kampersrus which is only 5 minutes away you can find fuel, a shop and a restaurant. The self containing cottages are spacious and catch lots of light. Everything is available for a perfect stay. They all have a very private large terrace and plunge pool with views over the bush and to the Mariepskop mountain. Jochen organises trips to the mountain with breathtaking views over the lowveld and trips through the rainforest. The cottage was spotlessly clean, hygiene is top priority. The owners are very discrete but yet available whenever you may need them. In short, a wonderful bush experience that must be repeated!!

I've never shared any reviews, whether I had a bad or good experience. However, this is an exception, this place is absolutely perfect, beautiful scenery, peaceful, and quiet. The unit had everything we needed, and every section opens beautifully to the outside. We were received warmly and had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this place if you want a peaceful place to stay while exploring the nearby attractions.

Best accommodation during our trip to South Africa ??. Very clean, very high standard, well equipped and the hosts are amazing. The location is great to explore Kruger as well as Blyde River Canyon. We hope to come back one day.
