Garden Route Safari Camp

As a family with grown up children we spent a magical three days here over Christmas here 2024 . There just aren’t the words to describe how magical this place is in every aspect . It truly is a little lice of heaven and tranquility , you immediately made us feel Like part of the family , your intention to detail was amazing . Our guide Ein was beyond incredible and how he tailored our walking and other safaris to what he had learnt about our likes and dislikes went far and beyond . Loved the whole ethos of your outlook too . We will be back for sure . The hi light of our whole South African trip . Thankyou all love Debbie , Mike , Amy and Lottie xx

We had the pleasure of spending two wonderful days over Christmas at Safari Route Garden Camp, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The exceptional hospitality made us feel almost like part of the family, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. A special highlight was the incredible safari tours with our fantastic guide, Mark, whose knowledge and passion for wildlife turned every moment into an adventure. These memories will stay with my family and me forever. Thank you for an amazing stay – we hope to return one day!

A wonderful stay! Great variety of animals, super convenient for anyone travelling the Garden Route, wonderful staff and surprisingly excellent food! Waking up with breakfast with a host of wild animals metres away was an awesome experience, as were both safari drives with Seviwe (who made the whole stay amazing with his knowledge, humour and chat). We saw more animals than I can remember and whilst there are no elephants yet, we’re told they’re coming! Worth noting that the lions are still in a separate enclosure (for good reason, and they’ll eventually be released into the wider reserve) but that allowed an incredible & unique up-close experience we otherwise wouldn’t have had. 10/10, highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time here. They catered really well for dietary requirements, the safari experience was really thoughtfully curated, focusing on small numbers and genuinely boutique in feel, and I really loved the family's vision for rewilding the place. Definitely a fascinating agrotourism innovation as well as a very enjoyable holiday experience!

we had an amazing experience at the Garden Route Safari Camp were we stayed 1 night. The staff and family are all lovely, caring about the environement and the animals in the reserve. The food is home made and absolutely delicious and every details is though until the end in order for you to have the best stay possible !

We stayed in the Safari Camp with a group of 25 people, during a group yourney of 14 days in the South of Africa. We had 5 accomodations during this trip and this one was far out the best one ! We were lucky because we and two other couples had the privilege to stay in the very luxurious glamping villas right in the middle of the wildlife reserve. Mark was our ranger:guide who showed us all there was to see of the wildlife. Simoné was the loveliest host you could wish for. And all other staff and management were the most friendly people I ever met during a stay in a hotel/lodge. If we go back to South Africa, we would like to go back there. Also, we will promote this to our family and friends ! Do not hesitate : book a stay there ! Nice regards Martine and Dirk (from Belgium)

A very wonderful place run by a family cares about wildlife reflected in the evolution of the reserve. The tour guide has a lot of information about the animals of the reverse and the way they grow and live. Accommodation is comfortable and luxurious, and the food is excellent. Everyone makes you feel welcome and always has a smile on their faces.
