Gabus Game Ranch

We just had a very nice stay at Gabus Safari Lodge. We went during the rainy season which is definitely a recommendation as the landscape is green and even some flowers are blossoming. The waterhole near the lodge was full and caused many animals to appear. The family Kühl are very friendly and welcoming and ensure that your stay is just as amazing as the surrounding nature. The lodge is nice and clean, with a beautiful pool area to relax. The food prepared by the staff was very tasty and presented beautifully. The land on which the lodge is set is truly beautiful with many animals and there are even opportunities for hikes close to the lodge. A vacation to never forget! Definitely want to return in the future!

Our stay at Gabus was truly enjoyable and exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The accommodations were clean, modern, comfortable beds and the views were absolutely stunning. Both from the rooms as well as from the breakfast and dinner location. The view of the waterhole was amazing and on numerous occasions we had some nice visitors (giraffes, impalas, gnoes). We also had a bush breakfast which we greatly recommend! A beautifully prepared breakfast in the middle of the bush with beautiful mountains in the background and wildlife around us. One of the highlights was the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the family who runs the lodge. They were approachable, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great stay. The game drives were very unique, and we even spotted a leopard on our final day! We will be coming back!

Just back from Gabus and I could have stayed forever! this 7000ha private game reserve / farm is just incredible as are the family that own and run it, who are so kind and will bend over backwards to help you. All the other guests were great, quiet, considerate, friendly...The food was really yummy and plentiful. The rooms were lovely, sweet touches, flowers, turn down service, lovely hand and bath products and with some of the quietest air conditioning I've ever experienced! There's so much more I could say but why don't you go and experience it for yourself!

Lovely lodge with lots of exciting activities. We went for a safari drive and saw a leopard 🐆. The whole lodge area is equipped with fast and free Wifi. The food, especially the dinner was excellent, probably the best meal we had during our trip. Friendly staff and accommodating owners.

Beautiful place in the Otavi Mountains. After the long drive, we really enjoyed the hiking trails in the private game park. Our spacious room was facing the water hole. Perfect place to sit on the deck and watch the animals passing by. The food (dinner and breakfast) was just outstanding - greetings to the chef! Thank you to the owners and the entire team, we could feel your passion!

Had a great time here, lovely relaxed lodge with a beautiful mountain view. Love the private terrace off the rooms where you can watch the animals at the water hole. AC is excellent and the beds very comfy. Dinner was pricey for a lodge at N$400 but the quality was excellent so that made up for it, great breakfast too! Staff were all incredible, very warm and welcoming.

Absolutely world class service from a local family owned ranch. This was our favourite lodge during our trip in Namibia! They made our family feel so welcome, catered to our needs with young children and arranged fantastic experiences including a horse safari which was fantastic. Family room was amazing for kids, pool & garden so relaxing and the view of wildlife at the watering hole while eating lunch was so lovely. I’m fairly picky about accommodation and I highly recommend this lodge.
