Bundox Explorer Camp

Bundox Explorer Camp is THE safari you want to do! We came for our honeymoon and could not have found a better place. The guides (Harry & Oliver) and the camp hosts (Emmanuel & Ellie) are easily the nicest people we’ve met in South Africa. They work extremely hard and provided us the best experience we could’ve hoped for. The whole experience totally exceeded our expectations. The game drives are even better than you can imagine. Harry and Oliver have eyes that can spot aninals that we couldn’t even spot. They then proceed by going off-road to get the closest and best angles on the sightings. They also provide a LOT of very interesting information about the animals and their habitat. Briefly put, you cannot say you’ve gone on a safari if you did not stay at Bundox Explorer Camp! Will cherish this place forever.

Simply one of the best places we've ever stayed - it is worth coming to South Africa just to spend a few days here! Rohan and Cullen and co were all around amazing hosts and were extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife. And the spotter could spot a chameleon in the dark three trees away while driving past! Other highlights: - We got incredibly close (maybe 2 metres) to lions. - There is a watering hole by the pool where we saw wild boars, elephants and zebras while lounging. Simply amazing. - The crew sets up snack and drink breaks while on drives which were exceptional. - Cool animals right in the camp like lizards and praying mantises - Flexible with game drive times Could not recommend this place more :)

Recently returned from a captivating 4-day safari, and I must express that it was truly an exceptional experience! The staff was remarkably friendly and supportive. Our culinary delights left us pleasantly surprised (kudos to the chef, a true genius ❤️). Witnessing a plethora of fascinating animals made the journey truly extraordinary!

We stayed here for 3 nights. From beginning to end the most wonderful real safari experience. Amazing sightings, delicious food and cocktails (ask for the poespas), and such lovely people that really give it all to make sure you will have an unforgettable time. Amazing place!! The staff love their jobs. The hospitality, game drives and food were perfect. This place is about quality and not quantity. You have to go here if you want the real safari (journey) experience. From start to end loved every second. We spent 2 nights here but will come back in the future with family/friends to enjoy the camp.

Amazing and unforgettable experience. The staff warmly welcomed us with a glass of homemade lemonade and then they really took care of us for the entire duration of our stay. Delicious food (congratulations to the young and talented chef!), interesting and suggestive game drives with snack-stops, and unexpected surprises (I don't spoil them here). It is important to clarify that the campsite is not located within the Kruger National Park, but in the Greater Kruger National Park, a large protected land west of the Kruger Park, which offers a larger area for the freedom of movement of wildlife. Therefore, it was more difficult to see the Big 5, because they are mainly found in the Kruger. We were happy even though we saw only 3 of them: lion, rhino and elephant. On the other hand we saw giraffes, hippos, baboons, chameleons, zebras, impalas and many other animals. I highly recommend this camp to those who want to have an experience in the wilderness, away from everything and everyone, but with comfort and eco-sustainability.
